Planboard is a K-12 lesson planning and assessment software made by Chalk that is completely free for individual teachers. Planboard allows teachers to track and target standards in their lessons, conduct standard-based grading, and generate a student portfolio to track learning progress. Teachers are able to get started on the web, iOS, or via Google Play.

Belouga is a digital platform providing teachers and students with the ability to connect, communicate and collaborate with their peers locally and globally.

Quizalize

Teachers can use Quizalize to assign quizzes, worksheets, videos, and web links for students to complete at home in a real-time digital environment not much different than the physical classroom.

Sema

Sema package of apps enable children to teach themselves how to read, write and do basic numeracy. The curriculum was designed in collaboration with pedagogy experts and teachers in Africa.

Akily

Akily is a highly personalized child development app that provides activities for parents to do with children face to face. Once parents do an activity, the app asks for feedback to send the next best activity. Parents can create a journal with pictures of the child doing the activity and will be able to see how their child is doing on their dashboard.

Bookshare

Children and adults with disabilities such as blindness, low vision, dyslexia and cerebral palsy can access thousands of accessible books on Benetech’s Bookshare platform. Benetech was a winner of ACR GCD’s 2014 grant competition, using the Bookshare platform to provide students who are blind in India access to accessible reading materials. The library is provided to individuals with disabilities for free or low cost, depending on the support of local partners in your region.

World Around You

WAY enables communities to create content in local and national sign languages and share it in WAY’s open content digital library of folktales. The digital libraries are viewable from any web browser and can be remixed by anyone, including children, with simple text and video editing tools.

Global Digital Library

Global Digital Library is an open-source digital library that offers free accessible eBooks in more than 40 languages readable on the web, mobile, or for downloading and printing. The books can also be translated or localized directly on the platform.
